WHY OUR MEDIt.ATION IS DIFFERENT?
We are always in a state of meditation
From my experience, I know how hard it can be to quiet the mind, which the body follows. However we are always in a state of meditation…some activities we are more distracted than others. In a MEDIt.ATION class we work on techniques to sit or stand with ourselves, God and accept the environment within us as well as around us.
Techniques can range from…
-Quiet meditation sitting down vs. walking meditation
-Choose one sense (smell, touch, hearing, sight, taste) for 20 min
-Have a creative scenario to imagine and dream
-Focus on a repeated word or phrase
-Going to the grocery store and being 100% mindful of shopping, people and yourself
